Eva Longoria Parker is urging her fans to participate in the US 2010 census in a bid to improve America’s services. The Desperate Housewives star has filmed a public service announcement (PSA), calling for US citizens to give up their details for the upcoming survey. She says, “Our participation in the 2010 census determines how funds will be used to support pre-schools, educational programs and build new schools.” “It will also support maternal and child healthcare as well as improve our highways, bridges and roads. Your participation in the census will help create job training programs and help improve emerging and disaster recovery services. The 2010 census – it’s easy, it’s important and it’s safe.” |

Getting all prettied up for a Sin City soiree, Eva Longoria was on-hand at the Latin Chamber Of Commerce’s 35th Installation Celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night (February 20). Decked out in a shimmering silver frock, the “Desperate Housewives” beauty was presented with the Distinguished Business Leadership Award at the annual fete. As an entrepreneur and owner of two new and successful CityCenter ventures, Beso Steakhouse and Eve nightclub, Longoria also played host at the extravagant ceremony. In addition, the city of Las Vegas and Clark county proudly declared February 20th as “Eva Longoria Parker Day.”     |
